Microsoft Partners with Machine Maker Hart Voting on Election Security

The safety of the vote machine is a growing concern following a number of problems in the last two presidential electoral cycles. Microsoft seeks to do its part to dispel doubts about the legitimacy of the results. He announced a partnership with Hart Intercivic, one of the three major US election machine providers to implement Microsoft’s electoral software.

Electionguard allows voters to ensure that their votes have been counted correctly (and unmodified) with end-to-end check. Third-party election safety experts can create their own programs to audit election results through Electionguard.

Hart will test the election elections in his voting system of truth, which is used by more than 500 jurisdictions in 17 states. Voters will always use a touch screen and print their selections or fill out a newsletter newsletter. Once they scroll their ballot in truth, Electionguard will count and encrypt it.

The electors will then receive a verification code, that they can use to check on the web that their vote has been counted correctly. Microsoft says that the content of a voter ballot is not revealed during this process and it will remain private.

Microsoft has been working on technology in recent years. He made Electionguard Open Source and available for all in 2019 in order to make the American voting process more transparent. Hart’s The first major voting machine manufacturer to incorporate the software. Perhaps if it works as promised and it is widely used by the Presidential Campaign of 2024, Electionguard will contribute to translating the future theories of the plot on the election results.
