How to get the 8 beta Watchos on your Apple watch

At WWDC 2021, Apple unveiled Watchos 8, the next big update of Apple Watch’s operating system that should launch next to Apple Watch 7. While waiting for any public publication, anyone who wants to obtain a Early look can soon download a beta version of Watchos 8.

Users who are part of the Apple Developer program can get the first watchos 8 beta right now, while a public beta is promised to follow in July. Although all beta software is potentially unstable, the last being released for the public to try – usually constitutes a version or two behind the Betas developer, but also likely to have fewer bugs or other problems.

Remember that the beta of the Watchos 8 developer requires to be part of the Developer Apple program (discover how to register here), so if you do not want to go through the hassle or pay the annual fee, just wait for the public beta. And as a rating added, because Watchos is always connected to and dependent on a paired iPhone, you must download an IOS version just as advanced first – which means if you want the beta of Watchos 8, you will have to download the iOS 15 beta first.

Even before considering downloading the beta, make sure your Apple watch is compatible with Watchos 8 – that is, if you have an Apple 3 or more recent watch. Since this has not changed Watchos 7, if your mobile has been able to go to the software of last year, you can download Watchos 8.
