Evernote, the platform that dominated the note of taking note, added a new feature that allows it to compete with the Trello Task Management Platform. The new Evernote feature is simply called tasks and it works essentially as a supercharged list to do. Users can connect their tasks with notes, define a deadline and more.
Evernote tasks are not a notebook functionality, but it works with the user notes to add a direct task management. Evernote tasks include some key features needed in a product to be done, including the possibility of priority flag certain items in the list, add deadlines, and set reminders for these key tasks to complete.
Tasks differ from Trello, probably the most popular card-based task platform, allowing Evernote users to build items to do with their notes. For example, users can place tasks in a note related to the activity.
In addition, users can open their list of items to do in the Evernote sidebar, including the rocking between the notes based on the maturity dates and if they have been reported. Changes made to accessible tasks, for example, a note, will also be reflected in the sidebar. Users can add up to five reminders for a note and can choose to get notifications for important tasks.
Evernote says that the tasks will be widely available later this year, but the features will be accessible earlier under an early access period. Evernote plans to limit certain tasks based on different Evernote’s plans, but has not developed the way it will decompose.
