The report suggests that two percent of the 1,000 Top 1,000 Titles of App Store were scams.

Apple Tim Cook’s CEO recently told the recent epic test that without the company’s strict review process, the App Store would be a “toxic mess”. However, its approval process apparently dropped a large number of bad applications. Of the 1,000 highest applications of the store, nearly two percent were a form of scam, according to a Washington Post report.

Some of the malicious applications mentioned included VPNs that have falsely told users that they have been infected with a virus, duping in buying useless software. In addition, on the list, apps for meetings, QR readers and applications claim to be fraudulently largering brands such as Amazon or Samsung. Some have used false criticism of customers to set up applications.

Applications may have bladed users on an estimate of $ 48 million, depending on post estimates, including Apple’s reduction of up to 30%. Apple would have removed 12 of the 18 applications after being reported.

“We organize developers to high standards to keep the App Store a safe and approved place for customers to download software, and we will always take action against applications that pose a prejudice to users,” said Fred Sainz Apple Sainte in a statement. “Apple directs the industry with practices that first put the security of our customers, and we will continue to learn, evolving our practices and invest the necessary resources for customers to be presented with the best experience.”

Apple recently stated that it blocked $ 1.5 billion of potentially fraudulent transactions last year, adding that it usually catch scams in a month of them arriving on the store. During the recent trial, however, the EPIC accused Apple to use safety as a pretext for taking 30% fees on transactions.
